Buchanan named interim principal at Gideon Pond

Superintendent Dr. Theresa Battle recently named Isis Buchanan the interim principal at Gideon Pond Elementary School. 

Buchanan has spent the last two years in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 as associate principal at Eagle Ridge Middle School. She also brings previous experience as a principal, teacher and curriculum coordinator. 

“Buchanan’s experience and demonstrated success as a school administrator clearly make her highly qualified for the position,” said Battle. “I am confident Buchanan will find success in her new role in the district.”

Buchanan and former Gideon Pond principal Chris Bellmont, who will join Burnsville High School next year as a principal on special assignment, will begin to work together immediately to ensure a smooth transition.
